My name is Jon Andersen; I was born in Yuma, Arizona in 1959, but spent my early childhood growing up in Illinois. My family moved when I was about eight to Colorado where we have lived ever since. Having no formal classes related to art I learned to draw by studying, and copying the work of other artists. Once I got a computer I found that my ability to copy the work of other artists made it possible to manipulate there drawings just enough to animate them.  There is as immense pleasure in seeing a still picture come to life and begin moving. Animations bring the moment that the artist captured to life, and emphasizes the life like qualities of the fantasies depicted in their drawings.

I’ve only been making animations for a couple of years, and during that time I have seen distinct improvements in the craftsmanship of my work.  Little by little I am getting a feel for the software applications that are available to work with, and in time I hope to be able to produce animations that are absolutely flawless.  Until that time the animations that are available now enable a person to sense the impact of the artist’s drawings in a fresh new way.

It’s my hope that through my animations a viewer can not only come to appreciate the amount of dedication that is required for an artist to acquire, and develop the skills needed to make a drawing that depicts human nature, but also to enjoy the elaborate, and often intricate nuances put into the detailed portrayal of their images. Cartoonist in particular, but all erotic artists, are often seen as quick sketch masters, when in fact the drawings that they create require a great deal of skill, imagination, and insight. They not only capture the moment in their drawings, but they also capture the act as it takes place… a talent that is often underestimated. Web sites like Erotica-Fantasy that offer thousands of hand drawn pictures represent literally tens of thousands of hours, indeed lifetimes of carefully thought out, and masterfully produced pieces of art. It’s a definite privilege to have the opportunity to work on the pictures that dedicated artists like Chris have devoted untold hours to drawing.  I couldn’t be happier then I am when someone like Mikki G displays my animations of the drawings on his site for everyone to enjoy.
